African startups addressing pressing challenges are invited to seize a golden opportunity with 10k2Startup, a program offering financial backing of up to $50,000, mentorship, and networking support.

The initiative, brainchild of Julius Nkansah Owusu-Kyerematen, Google’s head of multi-channel mid-market skills, is aimed at bridging the funding and expertise gap faced by many African startups.

“We understand the crucial role that funding and strategic guidance play in the success of startups,” Owusu-Kyerematen stated. “10k2Startup aims to provide both, helping entrepreneurs turn their innovative ideas into thriving businesses.”

Operating out of Ghana, the program is now accepting applications for its second cycle. Investments range from $10,000 to $50,000, made in exchange for a 15% to 25% equity stake, depending on the startup’s potential and traction.

10k2Startup is not just about financial investment. The program offers hands-on mentorship, expert advice, and connections to a broad network of investors, partners, and customers.

The initiative is open to all industries but with a focus on tech-enabled startups that leverage technology to create groundbreaking solutions.

“We are looking for passionate, perseverant, and strategic founders who are not afraid to tackle challenges head-on,” Owusu-Kyerematen emphasized. “We want to support those who are truly committed to making a difference.”

Interested startups are encouraged to apply before the July 15th deadline. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a 30-minute pitch session by July 31st, with funding decisions made within two weeks.

This is a unique opportunity for African startups to gain the support they need to scale and make a real impact. Don’t miss out!
