Google has today released the Android 12 Beta 1 today for all the eligible Pixel devices during the Google I/O 2021. As expected experts have already discovered and put up for download the official Android 12 Beta 1 Generic System Image (GSI) packages.
A GSI is a prebuilt system image that you can boot onto the devices that support Project Treble, this means you can still go ahead and install the official GSI binaries to test Android 12, provided your device is compatible with Project Treble.
Android 12 Beta 1 GSI Can Allow You to Test Out Android 12 on Every Device That Supports Project Treble
How to Download Android 12 Beta GSI
Downloading Android 12 Beta 1 will factory reset your device. Make sure you have a backup
- First, you need to have an unlocked bootloader.
- You can go ahead and download the Android 12 Beta 1 GSI binaries by following the links below.
- Pick the right GSI binary based on the device’s architecture that you are using.
- If you don’t know, you can check which architecture your device has by running the following ADB command

Android 12 is right around the corner and we highly suggest you wait for Google to release the proper system images or even better wait for your phone manufacturer to push out updates as these are just GSI binaries.
