Apple maintains the new update will consume “significantly more data.” If you want to take your music streaming to the next level, Apple Music advises that external hardware like a DAC is required to get hi-res lossless.
What is Apple’s Spatial Audio?
Apple’s spatial audio with Dolby Atmos is a new format that will allow users to listen to selected tracks with a 360-degree sound format that recreates a surround effect through even a tiny pair of earbuds.
For the feature to work, just like on the iPhone, Apple notes that your Android smartphone needs to support Dolby Atmos to enable spatial audio. It works on any earbuds or headphones
