Asus Zenfone 10

The ASUS Zenfone 10 is a compact flagship smartphone that has been getting much attention lately. After all, it’s one of the few flagship phones that’s still small enough to fit in your pocket comfortably. But why is this phone that everyone asked for still a niche product that most people won’t be interested in?

There are a few things to consider when answering this question. First, let’s talk about the size of the Zenfone 10. It has a 5.9-inch display, which is significantly smaller than the displays on most other flagship phones. This is excellent news for people who want a phone that’s easy to carry around, but it’s not so great for people who want a normal phone (gone are the days 5-inch smartphones were normal) with a large display for watching videos or playing games.

Second, let’s talk about the price of the Zenfone 10. It starts at €799 (KES. 123,165 before tax) for the 8GB/128GB model and goes up to €929 for the 16GB/512GB model in the EU. This is a lot of money for a phone with a small display and mid-range features. Sure, it has the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, but that’s about it. There’s no telephoto lens, and no expandable storage and the competition is stiff around this price with devices like the Pixel 7 and Samsung Galaxy S23, and even iPhone 13 series.

Finally, let’s talk about the features of the Zenfone 10. It has a sound camera system, a long-lasting battery, and a fast processor. But it doesn’t have all the features that some people might want in a flagship phone. For example, it doesn’t have an LTPO panel despite offering up to 144Hz refresh rate,  this means you can lock yourself to 60, 90, 120, or 144Hz but can’t have the display adjust automatically.

Asus Zenfone 10

So, is the ASUS Zenfone 10 the compact flagship that everyone asked for? It depends on who you ask. If you’re looking for a small phone with a powerful processor, then the Zenfone 10 is a great option. But if your idea of a compact phone means cheap, you’ll probably be disappointed. Still, the ASUS Zenfone 10 offers a couple of things you can’t get with most other Android phones, including a headphone jack, a charger in the box, and a unique six-axis gimbal system for the rear camera

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to buy the ASUS Zenfone 10 comes down to your individual needs and preferences. If you’re looking for a small phone that’s easy to carry around and still packs a punch, then the Zenfone 10 is a great option.
