Deezer Free will no longer be available in Kenya, the music platform has announced. Deezer Free offers most of Deezer’s features with only a few caveats like ads, lower audio quality, pick and play any track option and offline listening.

Just like the premium Deezer account, you can pick and play any song on select personalized playlists, your Daily playlist, and a selection of Editorial playlists. Users get to explore a rich catalogue of 73+ million songs 100% free, powered by ads to support the artists.
“We appreciate that you’re part of the Deezer Free listening community; however, sometimes good things come to an end. Deezer Free will no longer be available in your country as of 19/4/2022.” Deezer said in a statement seen by Techspace Africa.

This means that to use Deezer in Kenya you will now have to purchase Deezer Premium. “Not ready to say goodbye to your music yet? This doesn’t have to be the end! Upgrade to our Deezer Family or Deezer Premium plan to enjoy unlimited, ad-free music, offline listening and more.” Deezer adds.
