Multichoice-owned Sub-Saharan African direct broadcast satellite service DStv is set to hike prices starting next month.
Following DStv Uganda, DStv Kenya has today announced a price hike that will see subscribers of the Access and Family packages part with an extra Sh100 over the current rate while the Compact and Compact Plus subscribers will part with an extra Sh200 and Sh400 extra respectively.
The most affected will be Subscribers of the highest tier, the DStv Premium package who will have to reach into their pockets and dish out an extra Ksh. 500 just to renew their subscription.
The company says consumer inflation and the current economic pressures is the reason for this price increase.
