After a few days of suffering and turmoil, Equity Bank Kenya has finally refunded a widow Sh900,000 that had been lost in a fraudulent scheme at their Kisii Bank.
Asnael Moturi, the son, has today thanked Kenyans for the help in voicing the concerns and the manager at the Kisii branch for settling his mom’s case objectively and refunding her the cash.
The refund comes after an uproar by thousands of Kenyans who took to social media Moturi wrote about funds mysteriously disappearing from his mother’s account using #BoycottEquityBank.
The news had attracted all Kenyans from all corners and even some prominent politicians like former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
#BoycottEquityBank one day equity bank paid out cash at the counter to a man that was at the same time in industrial Area remand prison. That’s when I knew they do magic.
