fifa 22

FIFA 22 is just around the corner and the hype is building as developers reveal some new changes and promise game-changing features.

First, Kylian Mbappé will be the cover athlete. The 22-year-old Paris Saint-Germain forward will be the face of the franchise for a second consecutive edition after succeeding Eden Hazard

However, he’s still got a long way to go to break Wayne Rooney’s record for most cover appearances. Manchester United’s record goalscorer was plastered on the cover of every game from FIFA 06 to FIFA 12.

Powered by Football™, FIFA 22 introduces HyperMotion – groundbreaking new gameplay technology on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Stadia that elevates every moment on the pitch

EA Sports have released a reveal trailer, unlike previous trailers, actual gameplay footage is not focused on and instead, the developers show Mbappé and his PSG teammates wearing the latest in motion-capture technology, showcasing the computer learning and complex data algorithms that go into what the games producers hope will be their most realistic football simulation yet.

Learning from more than 8.7 million frames from Advanced 11v11 Match Capture, the ML – Flow machine learning algorithm writes new animations in real-time, enabling players to better adjust their stride and running cadence on approach to the ball to control or strike it more smoothly.
