The Kenyan government has finally kicked off the exercise of issuing Huduma Namba cards 2 years after the registration exercise was carried out.
The exercise is, however, limited to Nairobi residents. “Kindly note that the cards are currently being issued in Nairobi alone. You will receive communication once the program has been fully launched,” Huduma Kenya said in a statement.
Nairobi residents who registered for the Huduma Namba will be required to select their preferred collection point once they receive an SMS, the ministry of interior says.
The short message will be sent to the phone number you provided during registration and will have a URL link that must be clicked to allow you to access the Huduma Namba portal.
Once you open the link, you will be asked to select your County, Sub-county, and from there you can pick your pick up location point on a form provided.
Huduma Namba is a new system introduced to register all Kenyans under a new database. The database would hold a ton of information on every Kenyan like biometric data.
