WhatsApp is releasing a bunch of cool new features for android iOS and desktop users like animated stickers, which were previously available only on the beta version.
Animated Stickers
Animated stickers bridge the gap between GIFs and stickers, and offer up a way to express yourself when words (and emoji) just can’t cut the mustard. Users will get animated sticker packs to choose from and they can view, save, star, send, and forward the animated stickers once it is downloaded.
Dark Mode
Dark mode only just came to iOS and Android users back in April, and now, it’s being expanded to your PC with dark mode for WhatsApp web and desktop. It may have taken a while, but if you’ve been searing your retinas when using WhatsApp on your computer, this one’s for you.
IMPROVED GROUP VIDEO CALLS
WhatsApp video calls will now accommodate up to eight people up from just four. In order to reach the new upper limit, everyone on the call will need to be running the updated version of the app.
QR Codes
WhatsApp will roll out QR codes which will allow users to scan other users’ codes displayed on their screen with their smartphone camera and add them to their contacts.
