A few days ago, Chinese smartphone maker OPPO had revealed that its newly updated version of ColorOS will be officially unveiled in mid-to-late September without actually revealing the exact date.

Android 12 is here, Android OEMs are gearing up to announce their respective software skins based on Android 12, and just like last year, OPPO is first in line with Color OS 12 which will be unveiled in September 16.

OPPO ColorOS 12 Launch Date

Color OS 12 is expected to bring a number of new features and UI changes, it will also give us a feel of the upcoming Oxygen OS update based on Android 12.

While OPPO will reveal the skin overlay later this week, the final stable release will not roll out until Google releases the stable version of Android 12. Sources suggest that the official Android 12 launch might happen in the first week of October.

The new OPPO software is said to come with a new feature called ‘Cross-Screen Interconnection’, which is similar to the Huawei Multi-Screen Collaboration. The company is also tipped to adopt several new features from Chinese Android skins, including the likes of MIUI from Xiaomi, Flyme from Meizu, Smartisan OS, and HydrogenOS.
