Over the years, as Android users adopted WhatsApp as their go-to messaging software, some developers such as GB WhatsApp started offering modded WhatsApp messengers which brought new cool features that were not found natively in the app.
What is GB WhatsApp?
GB WhatsApp is an unofficial third-party modification of the official WhatsApp client, the app is not available on the Google Play Store.

GB WhatsApp offers users additional features such as the ability to hide read receipts for specific contacts, use longer group names, send high-resolution images, send a broadcast to 600 users instead of the default 250 user limit, use more characters in a Status update, view deleted messages and statuses and more.
Users can also check which messages are broadcasts and which ones are regular messages. The app also reportedly contains an auto-reply feature.
Why you Shouldn’t Install GB WhatsApp
First, in order to download the app, you have to search for its APK file online, The APKs are usually hosted on unreliable sites, and installing them can prove to be risky.

Marred with privacy and security concerns, the Facebook-owned messaging platform has also been threatening to delete user accounts found to be using unofficial third-party apps like GB WhatsApp and WhatsApp plus.
“Unsupported apps, like WhatsApp Plus, GB WhatsApp, or those that claim to be able to move your WhatsApp chats from one phone to another, are altered versions of WhatsApp. These unofficial applications are developed by third parties and violate our Terms of Service. WhatsApp does not endorse the use of these third-party applications because it is not possible to validate their security practices.” WhatsApp Wrote.
