Safaricom subscribers can now buy airtime using the company’s overdraft facility, Fuliza. The feature will now allow users to access higher amounts of airtime credit compared to Okoa Jahazi.
Safaricom is also in the process of expanding its overdraft facility Fuliza to include business applications.
For the last 2 years, Fuliza was only applicable in two instances, paying bills and sending money, the new addition will let customers buy airtime natively instead of using third parties.
How to Buy Safaricom Airtime Using Fuliza
Via STK
- Open your Sim Toolkit
- Select Buy Airtime
- Enter the amount
- Enter your M-Pesa Pin
- Safaricom will prompt you to Fuliza if you don’t have enough money in your M-Pesa
Via USSD
- Dial *334#
- Select Buy Airtime
- Select the phone you want to buy airtime for
- Enter the amount
- Enter your M-Pesa Pin
- Confirm the transaction
- Safaricom will prompt you to Fuliza if you don’t have enough money in your M-Pesa.
