A lot of us like dark mode everything, however, a large percentage of users may not prefer to use the mode in their Office applications as it makes it hard to see, luckily, Microsoft Office has themes that can be used to change the color appearance of Office applications like Word and Outlook to be any color
In the past, the dark mode on Microsoft Office would only change the interface and leave the typing space a normal white, the new update changes make MS Word entirely black.
How to turn off dark mode on Microsoft Word
- Open up the options menu by clicking File, then Options
- A General tab will open, click on the Personalize section
- Locate the Disable dark mode toggle next to Next to the Office Theme selector option
- Check the box for Disable dark mode.
Using this method, you can still enjoy dark mode with a white editing background. Alternatively, you can change the theme entirely back to light mode. Hope this helps Samson!
