WhatsApp is currently testing a much-requested feature that will allow users to add or sync their accounts on a second smartphone. This feature is expected to be a game-changer for those who want to access their WhatsApp account on multiple devices, effectively making it come closer to Telegram, which has been offering the service for as long as it has existed. In this article, we will show you how to use this feature.

Step 1: Install the Latest Beta Version of WhatsApp on the Secondary Smartphone

To use this feature, users need to install the latest beta version of WhatsApp on their secondary smartphone. The beta version of WhatsApp is available on the Google Play Store, and users can join the beta program by clicking on the “Join” button on the app’s listing page.

Step 2: Link the Secondary Smartphone to the Primary Smartphone

Once users have installed the latest beta version of WhatsApp on their secondary smartphone, they should open the app and select the “Link a Device” option from the top menu. Afterward, on the primary smartphone, they should go to settings and select “Linked Devices” and point the primary smartphone camera at the secondary QR Code.

Step 3: Wait for Synchronization to Complete

After scanning the QR code, users should wait for synchronization to complete. Chat history, calls, and other data will automatically sync between the two smartphones, even when the primary smartphone has no internet connection.

It’s important to note that each device must work independently, and some features may not work as expected. For instance, the ability to manage broadcast lists or post a status from the secondary device may not be available. At present, this feature is only available to WhatsApp beta users on Android, but it will soon be available on iOS as well.
