WhatsApp has been busy working on releasing major updates in a bid to catch up to rival messaging services like Telegram. Soon after announcing the disappearing message feature, the Facebook-owned app has launched an updated storage management tool that makes it easier to bulk delete junk data or photos, videos to free up storage space.
The new WhatsApp feature is rolling out to users on Android and iOS globally this week.

How to delete data and clear storage using the new Storage Manager
First open WhatsApp on your smartphone, Head over Settings, and tap on Storage and data option, here you will find a new ‘Manage storage’ option.
The Manage Storage page on WhatsApp is categorized into three – Storage bar, Review and delete items, and Chats.
There’s also a new storage bar that will highlight how much space WhatsApp has taken, the app will also warn you if your storage is full, and recommend freeing it up.
WhatsApp will show videos and photos that have been forwarded many times so you can review and delete them.
