Huawei Mobile Kenya is set to launch the Huawei Watch Fit, their new wearable, in Kenya.
The fitness band is available with a larger 1.64-inch display with 280×456 pixels resolution, 2.5D curved glass, 326ppi, and 70% screen-to-body ratio and is said to deliver up to 10 days of battery life.
In terms of features, the hybrid smartwatch comes equipped with an optical heart-rate monitor with TruSeen 4.0 hear rate sensor technology alongside a 6-axis IMU sensor. The watch also has a built-in GPS.
The wearable offers 12 kinds of animated quick workouts such as full-body stretch and exercise at work. The watch has 44 standard movement demonstrations as well. Overall, it offers 96 workout modes.
The highly customizable fitness tracker comes pre-stocked with a few preloaded watch faces. You can also download more through the Watch Face Store or set a photo from your phone as the watch face.
All of this is powered by a dual chipset architecture and comes with power-saving algorithms. The watch supports quick charge technology with Huawei saying the Watch Fit can deliver a whole day back up with a 5-minute charge.
Users can monitor their blood oxygen levels due to the available SpO2 sensor that also tracks sleep patterns and breathing exercises. The watch is also water-resistant, guaranteed at 5ATM so you don’t have to worry about taking it off during a quick swim.
The Huawei Watch Fit runs on 4GB of memory, has a 6-axis IMU sensor (Accelerometer sensor, Gyroscope sensor), Capacitive sensor and Ambient light sensor, and BT 5.0 and BLE support.
“With the wide variety of smart devices surrounding us today, we live in a connected digital era. Apart from the smartphones, which acts as a nexus point, one of the most popular smart devices seen with people is in fact smart wearables.” Country Head Jim Zhujie said while announcing the plans.
The Huawei Watch Fit is compatible with Android phones running version 5.0 or later and iPhones running iOS 9.0 or later.
