Apple’s next iOS 14.5 update will bring Xbox and PlayStation controller support to the iPhone, according to YouTuber and blogger Rene Ritchie.

The mobile gaming industry is continuing its meteoric rise in the entertainment industry. More and more people are playing games than ever before and Apple wants to be part of the $76.7 Billion industry.

According to sources, the controller support will provide mobile gamers who prefer the iPhone to set up custom mapping on a per-game basis, this will be available in the Game Controller menu under the ‘General’ section of your iPhone device’s system settings app.

The controllers will also work with or Apple TV running the tvOS 14.5 update.

Also coming with the new update is support for 5G for dual SIM users, app tracking controls among other minimal changes.
