The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has released a statement addressing the widespread blackout that has affected various parts of the country.
KPLC has stated that the power supply was lost following the collapse of a tower at the Kiambere – Embakasi power line at 10.45 am.
“We have lost power supply due to collapsed towers at the Kiambere – Embakasi high voltage transmission power line at 10:45 am this morning, ” read the Kenya Power Statement in part.
“Our engineers are working to restore electricity supply as repairs are being undertaken.”
