LemFi, a cross-border payment solution designed for the diaspora community, has secured approval from the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) to begin offering remittance services within Kenya. This marks a major milestone for LemFi, which launched in the Kenyan market in June 2023.

LemFi offers a seamless, efficient mobile app for Kenyans in the United Kingdom, United States, and Canada. The platform enables zero-fee transfers directly to M-PESA, mobile money wallets, and bank accounts within Kenya. The app also provides a Kenya Shillings wallet that users can fund through mobile money for easy currency exchange.

LemFi emphasizes competitive exchange rates and the elimination of transfer fees, aiming to be a cost-effective option for Kenyans in the diaspora. The company’s partnership with Kenyan fintech Wapi Pay further strengthens their presence and reach within the country.

RightCard Payment Services Limited, which operates as LemFi, expressed its commitment to secure and regulated services within the Kenyan market. The CBK license signals the company’s dedication to compliance and building trust with users.

Customers can download the LemFi app on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Alternatively, they can visit the LemFi website
