Kenyans are unable to use Safaricom M-Pesa services for almost one hour now. Taking to social media, Netizens raised concerns after being left stranded with businesses at standstill and we have since established that it is not an isolated case.
Safaricom has not responded to users about the issue.
UPDATE: Safaricom has confirmed that M-PESA is experiencing SMS delays saying they are working to resolve with the utmost priority.
The downtime coincidentally happens on the same day the telco unveiled officially their new Super M-Pesa app.

@Safaricom_Care Mpesa is down. Just made a withdrawal and I haven’t received any message but the amount has been removed from my account. I’m now sitting outside an Mpesa Shop waiting for the Agent to receive a confirmation message. 🤷🏽♂️
