Samsung has today expanded its Fan Edition (FE) lineup with the introduction of the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+. These tablets are designed to offer flagship features at a more affordable price point. Here are their specifications.

Display and Design

Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Tab S9 FE+

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE sports a 10.9-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2304 x 1440 pixels. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ flaunts a larger 12.4-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. These large displays make these tablets suitable for productivity tasks as well as media consumption.

In terms of design, both tablets feature an aluminum unibody frame and chassis, giving them a premium feel6. A notable feature is their IP68 rating for water resistance, which means they can withstand being submerged in up to 1.5m of water for up to 30 minutes.

Performance and Battery Life

Both the Galaxy Tab S9 FE and the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ are powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1380 SoC. While this chipset may not be as powerful as those found in high-end tablets, it should be sufficient for everyday tasks and light productivity work.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE is available in configurations of 6GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB, while the Galaxy Tab S9 FE+ comes in configurations of 8GB+128GB and 12GB+256GB.

One of the standout features of these tablets is their impressive battery life. The Samsung Tab S9 FE gets an 8,000 mAh battery while the Tab S9 FE+ packs a hefty 10,000mAh battery. According to Samsung, this should provide enough power to keep you going all day and into the night.

In terms of cameras, both tablets feature 12 MP ultrawide front-facing shooters with a 120˚ field of view and an 8 MP primary rear module. Tab S9 FE+ gets an added 8 MP ultrawide module on the back

Additional Features

Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE and Buds FE announced

Both tablets come bundled with an S Pen stylus, making them great for note-taking, sketching, and other productivity tasks. They also support Samsung DeX, which provides a desktop-like interface for an enhanced productivity experience.

The Galaxy Tab S9 FE series comes in Mint, Silver, Gray and Lavender colors. Pricing for the Tab S9 FE starts at €529 in Europe while the Tab S9 FE+ is €699. The 5G models are €100 extra.

Samsung Galaxy Buds FE

Samsung has also launched the Samsung Galaxy Buds FE which are the most affordable wireless earbuds from them to date with a starting price of €109. They offer active noise cancelation (ANC), Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity with auto switching between paired devices, and up to 21 hours of total playtime with their charging case.

Galaxy Buds FE come in Graphite and White Galaxy Buds FE come in Graphite and White

the buds also support the AAC and SBC audio codecs and offer integrated touch controls. Each earbud gets 3 microphones with two outer ones and another on the inside. Samsung says you will get 6 hours of playtime with ANC on which extends to 21 hours with the charging case and its 479 mAh battery. Galaxy Buds FE come in Graphite and White colors.
