meta verified

Meta is notorious for copying trends from other social media networks, from Snapchat stories to reels and most recently Threads, the social media giant is not shy of implementing the features that work on other platforms on theirs, This is why shortly after Elon Musk acquired Twitter and announced paid verification, Meta followed suit.

How Much is Meta Verified

Meta verified is now rolling out to most markets, Kenya included. The bundle includes a verified badge, proactive account protection, access to account support, and increased visibility and reach. People can purchase a monthly subscription for (USD) $8.99 on the web  and (USD) $14.99 on iOS and Android.

The verified badge is a blue checkmark that appears next to a creator’s username. It indicates that the account has been verified by Meta, and that the user is who they say they are. This can be helpful for creators who want to build trust with their audience.

The proactive account protection features include monitoring for impersonation and other threats. This can help creators to keep their accounts safe from hackers and other malicious actors.

Access to account support means that creators will have a dedicated team of people who can help them with any problems they may encounter. This can be helpful for creators who need help with things like managing their accounts, dealing with trolls, or resolving technical issues.

The increased visibility and reach features include prominence in searches, comments, and recommendations. This can help creators to reach a wider audience and get more exposure for their content.
