HMD Global is set to announce multiple phones soon, ranging from a premium Nokia 9.3 PureView to a mid-range Nokia 7.3 and perhaps one of the most anticipated of the HMD Global phones, the Nokia 3.4 which is a budget smartphone. The Nokia 3.4 has made an early appearance on Geekbench benchmarking website.
Codenamed Dr. Strange, Nokia 3.4 will run the Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. The phone runs on Android 10 out-of-the-box. It’s most likely to be based on Google’s Android One platform and will receive future Android OS updates for at least two years. Android One also ensures it is one of the first phones to receive Google’s latest security updates. Nokia 3.4 is expected to launch at IFA 2020 conference in Berlin next month.
According to reports, the budget phone will launch alongside Nokia 9.3 PureView, the most premium in the new lot which features a new design. It is also going to come with a 108-megapixel camera. The smartphone will reportedly feature a high-res display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The new Nokia flagship phone is also said to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 processor.
The most immediate phone that’s coming from HMD Global is the Nokia 5.3 which is expected to launch later this month, Nokia 5.3 comes with a 6.55-inch display with HD+ display and 20:9 aspect ratio. The phone features four cameras featuring a 13-megapixel primary sensor, 2-megapixel depth sensor, 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor.
Nokia 5.3 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor. The global version of the phone will be available in 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM options. It comes with 64GB built-in storage and supports expandable storage up to 512GB via a microSD card. The phone runs on a 4,000mAh battery.
