Oppo find N

Unveiled less than a month ago, the Oppo Find N demand has been so high that the brand cannot keep up with the orders, OPPO is now facing supply issues as 1 million people registered their interest in the phone.

Liu Bobbee, Oppo China President, revealed the main reason for the high demand was the attractive price of CNY7,699/CNY8,999 (about $1,200/$1,400), as well as the small form factor and the practically invisible crease on the inner display.

“New form factors are ushering in an exciting new time in smartphone technology. OPPO has invested a significant amount of time and effort into coming up with a better approach to a foldable smartphone, experimenting with a range of form factors, hinge designs, display materials, and aspect ratios, to create a new device that meets the needs of more users. With the OPPO Find N, we aim to change people’s perceptions about what a smartphone can offer and begin making foldable devices more accessible to an even larger audience.” Pete Lau, Chief Product Officer of OPPO, said,

Reservations for smartphones in China work differently than around the world – users sign up with their email to receive information when the stock comes in. So one million users aren’t actually ready to purchase the phone, but they are considering it.

Even so, a high number of registrations indicates the high popularity of the device. Sadly, the Find N will not make it outside China. Hopefully, Oppo will give its global fans a different foldable phone in the near future.
