Research firm Geopoll has named the top 15 digital influencers in the country. An online influencer is an individual who has created an audience or fan base that they are able to influence via online channels such as social media networks. In many cases, influencers profit through promoting products to their audiences, which has now become a multi-billion dollar industry.

The report dubbed “online Influencers’ Influence In Kenya And Nigeria” has put new Kiss 100 FM Presenter and Vlogger Felix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o as the top digital influencer in Kenya.

The report ranks him alongside Timothy Kimani aka Njugush, Eric Omondi, Size 8, Betty Kyalo, Robert Alai, Akothee, Dan Ndambuki Churchill, Jeff Koinangeand Maxine Wabosha the vlogger as the top 10 digital influencers in the country respectively.

Kevin Bahati, Xtian Dela, The Wa Jesus Family, Azziad Nasenya, and Khaligraph Jones are the other five to complete the 15 most influential Kenyans on social media respectively.

Facebook stood out as the most popular social network in Kenya with 85pc followed by YouTube with 73pc and Instagram 63pc.

Twitter is 4th with 61pc.
