WhatsApp is the most popular social media platform in Kenya with 97pc closely followed by Youtube with 91pc. Facebook and Instagram come in third and fourth with 89 and 71pc respectively.
The report by Wearesocial in partnership with Hootsuite puts Twitter at 6th with 61pc of Kenyans on social media using it, Telegram comes in at 7th with 55pc followed by Tiktok, the video-sharing social network with 45pc.
On average, Kenyans spend 3 hrs 42 minutes on social media every day with every Kenyan averaging 8 social media accounts.
There are 11 million social media users in Kenya, a total of 20pc of the whole population.
