Samsung Galaxy Book

Samsung Electronics on Wednesday launched three Samsung Galaxy Book laptops which are designed to be ‘portable and power-friendly,’ further announcing a gaming laptop that will come later this year.

Uncovering the portable devices during a virtual event, Samsung touted their thin form factor and compact design along with the latest Intel processors and integration with Microsoft services and Windows 10.

The Galaxy Book Pro and the Galaxy Book Pro 360 are 13.3” (starting at $999) and 15.6” (for $1,099) models. They come with 1080p AMOLED screens with full DCI-P3 color gamut support and support sRGB and Adobe RGB modes for artists and visual creators.

The Galaxy Book Pro and the Galaxy Book Pro 360 will both run on Intel’s 11th Gen processors in 8GB, 16GB, and 32 GB variants and Irs Xe graphics on the i5 and i7 CPU models.

In terms of connectivity, they support WiFi 6E and 4G, USB 3.2, MicroSD cards, a headphone, and mic port, HDMI out, and two USB Type-C ports including a Thunderbolt 4 port.

The Galaxy Book Pro has a 63Wh and 68Wh battery and charges at 65W with a Type-C charger.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 comes with a touchscreen display and an included S Pen and if you are interested there is a 5G variant. This higher-end Galaxy Book will put you back $1,199 for the 13.3” model, while the 15.6 model will cost you $1,299.

The Galaxy Book Pro 360 has the same battery sizes and charges the same as the Galaxy Book Pro.

Samsung also launched the cheapest Galaxy Book which starts at $599 and will ship in 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB variants and a 512GB SSD drive, and an optional GeForce MX450 GPU upgrade for better graphics.

Finally, the company launched its Galaxy Book Odyssey, a performance-oriented laptop that comes in a single 15.6” screen size and weighs a comfortable 1.85 kg. The laptop comes with a larger 83Wh battery and a 135W GaN charger, thanks to the device’s 11th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 processor coupled with the GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card on the device.
