Snapchat has introduced a new augmented reality feature in its camera that will allow users to identify the breeds of dogs they capture offline.

Via Scan, its press-and-hold-activated feature that gives users more information when they point their camera at various objects and surroundings, Snapchat users will be able to use the feature to identify breeds of dogs, species of plants and trees, and nutritional facts about packaged food.

Gotta snap that plant!!!

According to Business Insider, during a partner summit last week, the company unveiled the feature, which allows users to utilize their in-app camera to learn more about their surroundings.

Snapchat’s innovation in AR has helped the company keep its creative edge, even as companies like Facebook continually try to copy it. The biggest trouble with Snapchat’s AR products is keeping track of all the things the app can do in a sometimes difficult to navigate the lens ecosystem. But with a new voice search feature and a souped-up Activity Bar, also announced Thursday, Snap’s working on that, too.
