Sony produces some of the industry’s best true wireless earphones. The company’s latest earbuds, the WF-1000XM4, have garnered widespread acclaim for their remarkable noise cancellation performance and incredible audio clarity. The company has now launched the LinkBuds WF-L900 pair of wireless headphones.
The Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 features an unusual open design that will be different from the company’s prior earbuds. The earbuds feature a ring-like structure with a hole in the center that allows ambient sound to travel through them effortlessly making it easier for the wearer to hear from the outside world. Other ANC earbuds try to make a tight seal around your ears to cut down on noise.
The Sony LinkBuds WF-ring L900’s driver boasts a 12mm diameter and a high flexibility membrane for improved audio reproduction. Sony’s V1 processor, which also powers the WF-1000XM4, powers the earphones. When listening to compressed and lossy file formats, the LinkBuds WF-900 uses Sony’s Digital Sound Enhancement Engine (DSEE).
The headphones have a gesture mechanism that eliminates the need to touch the earbuds themselves. Different actions are triggered by tapping the front of your ear. Finally, the Sony LinkBuds WF-L900 is said to have an AI-powered noise suppression feature for calls, IPX4 sweat resistance, Google Fast Pair support, multi-pairing support, and a battery life of up to 5.5 hours (without case) or 12 hours (with case).
