“is Suntone Legit?”, “Have you seen that new Suntone app?” Kenyans will not rest, from corrupt politicians to getting mugged in the streets in daylight and then logging into social media and here Ponzi schemes are rife! they have seen it all.

What Is a Ponzi Scheme?

A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investing scam promising high returns with little risk to investors. A Ponzi scheme is a fraudulent investing scam that generates returns for earlier investors with money taken from later investors. They are based on using new investors’ funds to pay the earlier backers.

These schemes tend to eventually bottom out when this flood of new investors dries up and there isn’t enough money to go around.

You can find a list of such companies here

Is Suntone a Scam?

According to paid people on Twitter, you make $0.1 for watching videos on Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok accounts.

In order to make more money, you have to pay Sh2300, Sh12,000, or Sh25,000 to upgrade packages and get paid more money per video.

With this information, you can see how the earning methods on Suntone resemble those in similar get-rich-quick scams. so yes, Suntone is a big scam.

A quick search on Google brings up nothing except a reviews & Complaints page where Indians complain of being ripped off by the company. It looks like it started off just like Amazon Web Worker offering tasks to be completed and then scammed a lot of people in India.

Digging a little deeper and you find that in February, an app called TikTok Cash in Indonesia lured people to buying levels by promising to pay users who watched and liked videos on TikTok, a literal copy of Suntone, however, people were not able to make a profit, as the money earned was not withdrawable.

The Ministry of Communication and Information (Kemkominfo) ended up officially blocking the TikTok Cash app.

“You’re getting deceived like me please stop.. the money in the balance can’t be withdrawn now or even after completion… So please quit from this…” a disgruntled user writes.

If you actually want to earn online, try Google’s task mate option.

A similar misconception is that early adopters make money off Ponzi Schemes by way of referrals, chances are if I’m writing about Suntone you’re not one of the early adopters.
