Tecno has announced a new budget smartphone, The Tecno Pova which is powered by a mammoth 6,000mAh battery, a gaming chipset, and up to 6GB of RAM.
The phone has a punch-hole display, a rear fingerprint sensor, and four rear cameras at the back and is available in three colour options of Magic Blue, Speed Purple and Dazzle Black.
Tecno Pova has a 6.8-inch HD+ display powered by the MediaTek’s Helio G80 octa-core processor paired with Mali-G52 GPU.
To charge the smartphone’s 6,000mAh battery the phone supports 18W Dual IC Flash Charge. This is supposed to be 20pc faster than a single IC fast charge.
The budget smartphone boasts of a quad-camera setup with a 16-megapixel primary sensor, two 2-megapixel sensors and an AI lens. It has features such as bokeh, macro mode, short video, 2K video recording, and document scanning.
The smartphone’s camera also has a built-in Google Lens. For selfies, it has an 8-megapixel camera up front with beauty mode, night mode, and HDR.
The Tecno Pova runs Android 10 with HiOS 7.0 layered on top out of the box. Its connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, micro-USB port, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Tecno Pova also has a rear fingerprint sensor.
The phone is already live on sale in Nigeria with an expected launch in Kenya soon.
