Smartphone manufacturer OPPO recently announced two smartphones, the OPPO Ren05 and the OPPO Reno5 F. While the Reno5 has been available for purchase for a while now, the Reno5 F was yet to hit the stores. Now, OPPO has announced that the device is available for purchase at any OPPO brand shops, authorized dealers, and e-commerce platforms.
The Reno5 F is the Reno5’s smaller sibling, packaged in a simple, yet elegantly thin design that uses OPPO’s new Flowing Light Design concept.
“Reno5 F is the culmination of both user feedback and the extensive research conducted on the latest technology that’s being deployed on Reno5 F. Design
The Reno5 F has a 7.8mm Ultra Slim Body weighing only 172g and rounded out with a 3D curved battery cover, with a 6.43-inch hole-punch Super AMOLED display. The smartphone sports a large 90.8pc screen-to-body ratio and an In-Display Fingerprint 3.0.
The phone is one of the first to feature OPPOs brand new Flowing Light Design concept. Flowing Light Design on Reno5 F showcases a gentler and warmer look to the phone in contrast to the colder colors and textures of the Reno Series.
Camera
The Reno5 F features a 48MP main camera that works in concert with an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, 2MP macro camera, and 2MP mono camera. The Reno5 F also brings Monochrome Video to your hands, this feature highlights and enhances a single RGB color in any shot, while filtering out all other color pallets. ” This adds a splash of drama to your footage by juxtaposing contrasting colors,” OPPO says.
You also get the Dual-View Video feature on the cheaper Reno5 F. This lets you record footage from the front-facing and rear cameras simultaneously.
The Reno5 F captures great portrait photos by use of Dynamic Bokeh which adds a bokeh effect that stretches light into streaks while obscuring background details. The photo’s subject in the foreground is treated with a low-light HDR algorithm and color tuning so that they stand out. Night Flare Portrait adds round lens flares throughout the background but doesn’t overpower the subject of the portrait.
Battery
The Reno5 F is powered by a 4310mAh battery and supports upto 30W VOOC Flash Charge 4.0 technology. On a 5-minute charge, you get up to 2.9 hours of video playback time, a full charge gives you 16 hours of online video playback time.
Performance
Under the hood, the OPPO Reno5 F is powered by the MediaTek Helio P95 Octa-core processor which runs on 2 ARM Cortex-A75 Prime Cores that operate at up to 2.2GHz. 6 ARM Cortex-A55 Efficiency Cores also operate at up to 2.0GHZ.
