Very soon, you will be able to charge users to view your content. Twitter has announced that they are planning to introduce Super Follow, a feature that’ll allow Twitter users to charge their followers for exclusive and extra content, yes like Only Fans.
This content could be bonus tweets, subscriptions to newsletters, access to a community group, or a badge to show your support.
Super Follow content may still appear within the regular timelines, but only subscribers will be able to view and interact with those tweets.
The above mock-up screenshot shown by Twitter shows an example of a user charging $4.99 ( Sh547.85) per month for some extra perks.
Twitter says the feature will let creators and publishers get paid directly by their fans and followers.
Twitter is probably going to take a percentage from these payments in all probability and the company has also been exploring a subscription model as a new revenue source.
Twitter has also announced a new feature called Communities, which will let users create and join groups around specific interests — like cats or plants.
