Twitter, now X, has recently released a new feature that allows users to download videos from its website, (X videos…). However, there are a few restrictions on who can use this feature.
First, the creator of the video must explicitly allow downloads of their content. Second, the ability to save videos from the website is exclusively available to verified users. Verified users are typically those who have been deemed to be of public interest, such as celebrities, politicians, and journalists.
How to Download Twitter Videos
If you are a verified user and you want to download a video, you can follow these steps:
- Go to the video you want to download.
- Tap the ellipsis (…) menu in the upper right corner of the screen when a video is in full screen.
- Select “Download Video.”
- The video will be saved to your device.
Tap the “…” on upper right when video is in full screen mode.
We will soon allow this simply by tapping & holding on a video just like you download a picture.
