whatsapp file limit

WhatsApp will now allow you to send larger files according to leaks. Wabetainfo reports that the popular messaging platform is set to increase the file sharing limit to 2GB up from 100MB closing the gap on rival Telegram.

The feature is currently only available in Argentina and is limited to beta testers. It is not clear when WhatsApp is planning to roll out the feature to more people.

The update was spotted on beta version 2.22.8.5. And 2.22.8.7 on Android and 22.7.0.76 on iOS.

Should this feature get released to the masses, WhatsApp users will be able to send larger files like 4K videos. Telegram already allows users to send files of up to 2GB.

WhatsApp has been busy adding features to the app, just recently adding 6 new emoji reactions (Like, Love, Laugh, Suprised, Sad, and Thanks).
