WhatsApp will soon let give you the ability to hide your online status and recent activity status from everyone.
According to WABetaInfo, the messaging app will allow users to hide their online status from everyone. In the past users have had the option to display their Last Seen information to selected people, their contacts, everyone, or no one at all. Now, WhatsApp will let users follow a similar approach with their online status.
The new feature will be available inside of the last seen settings on WhatsApp as two new options: Same as Last Seen and Everyone.
According to the screenshot, you will be able to set who can see when you are online. For instance, if you choose My Contacts for Last Seen and Same as Last Seen for online, it means that non-contacts won’t be able to see when you’re online.
The feature will be available for iOS first.
