Over the last few months, WhatsApp has been rumoured to be working on multi-device support, now, the messaging service has confirmed that the feature allowing users to access their accounts from up to four linked devices.

Facebook’s CEO Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that the multi-device feature will still have end-to-end encryption. “It’ll still be end-to-end encrypted,” Zuckerberg wrote. “It’s been a big technical challenge to get all your messages and content to sync properly across devices even when your phone battery dies, but we’ve solved this and we’re looking forward to getting it out soon!”

Facebook CEO and WhatsApp head Will Cathcart also revealed other features like “view once” and “disappearing mode” in an interview with WABetaInfo.

Cathcart also let it slip that WhatsApp might be working on an iPad app but confirmed that multi-device support will make WhatsApp on iPad possible.
