Jack Ma, the founder of tech giant Alibaba is whereabouts are shrouded with mystery as the billionaire has not been seen in public in more than two months.
According to a publishing by the UK’s Telegraph, the man failed to appear as a judge as scheduled in the final episode of his own talent show, Africa’s Business Heroes, which is aimed at giving African entrepreneurs the chance to compete for a slice of Sh163 million ($1.5 million) and was instead replaced by an Alibaba executive.
Jack Ma’s team said he could not make the show “due to a schedule conflict”.
This comes after Chinese regulators stopped Chinese financial technology giant Ant Group (backed by Jack Ma) from making history with the world’s largest stock market debut by selling shares worth about $34.4bn (£26.5bn) on the Shanghai and Hong Kong stock markets.
Ma has donated millions of face masks all over the world including the highly controversial donation to Kenya which was stolen before arrival.
