When you open an app or website and choose the option to open it with Google instead of going through the sign-in process, you’re giving the app access to your Google account details.
If you’re like me and have probably mindlessly done it a lot, you may have lost track of which apps have access to your data. According to Google, Apps and services may have access to some Google products with especially sensitive info like your Gmail with your emails which may contain the names of your contacts, your private correspondence, or sensitive documents like attached copies of medical reports, your photos on Google Photos, your Google Drive records, your Google Calendar and your Google Contacts
“Third parties may also request access to sensitive data in other products, for example, YouTube, Ads, and Google Fit.”

How to See Which Apps Have Access to Your Google Account Using a computer
You can review the type of account access a third party has as well as the Google services it has access to.
- Go to the Security section of your Google Account.
- Under “Third-party apps with account access,” select Manage third-party access.
- Select the app or service you want to review.
Remove third-party account access
- Go to the Security section of your Google Account.
- Under “Third-party apps with account access,” select Manage third-party access.
- Select the app or service you want to remove.
- Select Remove Access.
Important: If you remove account access from a third-party app or service, it may retain info you provided.
