mi fit

The Mi Fit application has rebranded to Zepp Life app on the Google Playstore. This is because Xiaomi recently dropped the Mi branding on all its products.

Mi Fit is the default app for Xiaomi’s most popular activity tracker – the Mi Band. It works with all generations of this device including some Xiaomi watches. You can also pair Amazfit devices with it along with Xiaomi-made smart scales and a number of other gadgets. The software keeps tabs on your activity, analyses sleep, and evaluates your workouts. The aim is to help you build a healthier daily routine.

Xiaomi has adopted the Zepp pseudonym from Amazfit which also rebranded to Zepp. It is an arm of the Xiaomi brand, specifically the Huami sub-brand. The Amazfit lineup of smartwatches and smart bands were sold as Xiaomi Amazfit, pointing to their Xiaomi origin.

Zepp Life supports smartwatches and smart bands under the Mi banner. The app interface remains the same, while the app name and logo are the main things that have changed in the app

The next Mi Band 7 series is expected to run the Zepp OS which is compatible with the app.

The Chinese tech giant has also taken this opportunity to do a similar exercise with its Xiaomi Wear app. It is now known as Mi Fitness
