It is also extremely easy to use the feature, just open up the WhatsApp group or individual chat where you sent the message(s). Tap and hold the content you want to delete, click “Delete,” and then select either “Delete for everyone” or “Delete for me.”
All recipients must be updated to the most recent version of WhatsApp in order for this to actually work and you won’t receive a notification if the message doesn’t delete.
Ironically, while WhatsApp is giving users more time to delete a sent message, Apple’s iMessage is moving in the opposite direction. iMessage has reduced the time limit from 15 minutes to only two minutes.
